Who we are

The Female Entrepreneurship Facility or the Fondo para la Empresarialidad Femenina in Spanish (The “Fund” or “FEF”) is a specialised vehicle designed to channel resources contributed by institutional investors interested in establishing a fund to finance and support women entrepreneurs operating in the SICA (Central American Integration System) region, through the promotion of financial solutions tailored to women’s needs. FEF equips FIs with the means to offer better-tailored financial products and services to women entrepreneurs following enhanced risk and credit evaluations.

Sponsored by CENPROMYPE and the Government of Luxembourg, the Fund seeks to amplify financial inclusion for women by supporting Central American Financial Institutions and refining their underwriting practices to better serve women-led enterprises.
